Why we sell screens you cut yourself
A screen needs to suit both the opening and its fixing surface. Stock-size DIY kits let you prepare suitable window screens at home.
That is a fine way to buy a screen and it is not the only way. Our range includes stock-size screens, mesh and accessories. Some window kits can be trimmed; door curtains must be selected to suit the opening. We also provide a custom-quote route for made-to-measure enquiries.
Check the fitting method
The magnetic screen sticks to a 3M backed strip on the window frame. The velcro edged screen and the cat proof screen use a continuous self adhesive hook and loop tape. The door screen fits inside the frame with velcro and push pins.
Follow the fitting instructions for the product you choose. Adhesives and pins can mark surfaces. Test suitability and check any landlord requirements before fitting.
Being straight about what it is
A mesh screen is not a security screen and it is not an airtight seal. It stops what flies into an open window or doorway, which is what most people actually want in summer.
Where a figure is not published we say so rather than estimate it. The mesh specifications on these pages are the ones our supplier publishes: 18 x 16 standard, 20 x 20 midge, 10 x 16 pet proof, with further details listed where verified.

Budget Screens is part of a family-owned group of online stores. Our CEO, Renoo Caruso, is a Christian preacher based in Phetchaburi, Thailand. Renoo leads a local church with a congregation of more than 200 people and shares daily Bible teaching in Thai through renoo.faith and a YouTube channel with over 1,600 videos.

Mesh, frame and hardware
Replacement fiberglass mesh by the cut piece or the roll, PVC frame and magnetic strip by the foot, and the four corner set that joins them.
